My Seattle Adventure to PAX

Thursday morning:

My bus trip to the greyhound was fun. I was traveling during rush hour so I had to lug my suitcase onto a packed bus. Lucky for me, I was at the front of the line so I had a seat. The seat beside me had my suitcase squished up next to it. I had already planned out that I would get up and stand next to my bag if someone needed my seat. The bus kept stopping and picking up more people. Standing beside me was a tiny Asian girl in a super cute dress. She looked at the seat and I squished myself over and welcomed her to join my suitcase seat. She was happy to sit down and started chatting with me right away!

This girl wanted to know where I was going. I told her PAX in Seattle. I elaborated a bit and she got excited about costumes because she went to the Anime Evolution last weekend in Vancouver. I’ve read my fair share of manga so I started talking about the most common one: Deathnote. She took her cell phone out of her pocket and started showing me all the pictures of Deathnote characters at from Anime Evolution. Ryuk was very cool! She told me about a panel that she participated in where everyone had 1 minute to come up with a 5 minute skit with 2 Deathnote characters and taking out the garbage. She was Ryuk. The only thing she remembered about him is that he likes apples. She managed to convince L (her partner in the skit) that she would take the garbage out if she got an apple, and he gave her his phone!! …obviously it was an iPhone aka “apple”.

That was the end of our conversation because she got off the bus. Needless to say it was a fun way to start my trip down to Seattle!
